I don’t know what is is, but it looks like it could be coal powered. As the watermark suggests, I found this on Rollertip.ch. Can you tell me what it is? Can you tell me it’s not the ugliest production scooter you’ve ever seen? Love it!
***UPDATE***
I just heard from the owner of this scooter and it actually was NOT a production scooter. Here’s what he says:
hello steve
that’s my prototype delaplace from 1948,front traction, two speeds, built in paris, only one was built!
best regards
phil
So! There you have it; a rare, one of a kind, 1948, French scooter that looks like it was built from a recycled suit of armor. Now you know! And knowing is half the battle.

“Front traction”? That sounds like front-wheel drive to me. That would probably be a first for scooters!
It is an ugly mug though.

Front traction… that’s actually kinda cool. Bad thing is.. doesn’t look like bagles will fit in there. :(

Hi,
I have an interesting contribution for your contest… Is there a way to send you a picture of the beast ?

Love it! It looks like the end result of a horrendous accident involving a radiator, a garbage can, a bicycle.and a hamper.

:D ahaha!
You know, I think I’ve found a scooter that beats it.
My “The A-Z of Classic Scooters” book talks about the Colibri Vogel. It is absolutely the more horrendous looking two wheeled vehicle ever created UNLESS the image they used in the book was the aftermath of a horrible bodge job. I’ll look for an image.

Can’t wait to see it.
