Give your Burgman a bit-a-color

Fri, Feb 24, 2006

If you are daring enough, you could go non-traditional with your maxiscooter and slap some colored tires on her. Built using a retread process they come in green, blue, orange, red, yellow and camo and fit 120/70-12, 120/70-14, 130/60-13, 130/70-12. At first glance, the tread pattern doesn’t seem very useful compared to other tires made for wet conditions, but they will probably get the job done.

We talked to their the US distributor of this product at the Indy Dealer Expo. These tires can’t have carbon in them, so they use a silica compound and we were told they are very grippy, dry or wet.

Scooter World Magazine plans to try some of these tires out.

New Orleans police officer Don Powers, right, gives a ride to the queen of the Krew of Cork, Annie Lewis, on his police scooter during a parade.

Cool! Being a cop in New Orleans has some perks!

Oh and thanks to you Bryce. I’ll be looking out for the write up from Scooter.

Who is distributing these tires? Look neat!

That’s the only place I know to get em… But they are for larger tired scooters only.
