Accessories, Product Plugs

French helmet arteest, Roof, has taken renewable to the next step with Bamboo helmets! They should be available in ’07 to our friends overseas.

I think it’s really cool. Sorta what you’d expect the professor to make Gilligan so he can safely put around the island on his coconut oil burning scooter. Prices yet to be announced.

Thanks to, and CyberScooter for collecting the details!

(Sarah went for the DIY approach. GREAT effort Sarah! Um… just do us a favor and hold off wearing this while your scooting, umkay?) See more DIY examples here.

That’s funky! I wonder if it could be DOT certified.

Nothing says safety like a wicker basket!

  3. Bryce Says:

If it meets Euro standards I bet it would meet DOT.

when i told my motorbike insurance company that i was using a helmet constructed from bamboo rather than fibreglass, they instantly removed the part of my policy which covers personal injury, loss of earnings or anything relating to my personal wellbeing. The only thing covered now is the bike – which i am glad to say is not made from bamboo!
