(A stunning success! Only one person fell asleep.)
Well, the Austin team is back home… alive and well with our scooters. So what does THAT mean? SUCCESS! We had a… um… blast at the first Sandblast this last weekend. Thanks to our gracious hosts from Houston for making this rally a success. We look forward to next year’s and hope you can arrange for it to be about 20 degrees warmer, hehe. The bloody marys were excellent by the way.
I didn’t get a bunch of photos, but what I did get is available for your perusal here. Just click on the photo below to check them out.

Yes…I was digging the monkey. One of the guys who rode from S.A. to Galveston and back (there were four of the cast-iron derrieres..right at about 300 miles each way as they all live in the far northwest side burbs) made a little vid. It is not remarkable and features some of the
Alamo Scoots group riding to the big group ride, but it does feature the group ride passing by AND it was all documeted with his cool little camera mounted on his helmet.
I thought it looked much like Marvin the Martian, but then all kinds of folks had plumage afixed to their helmets.
