(Stella is for sell once again! Well… Not this one. I doubt PJ would part with her.)

Chris Sander gave me this FRESH scoop and it has been confirmed. Genuine has begun announcing the availability of 220 new Stellas scheduled to hit showroom floors this October. No word if they will be tagged as ’07 or ’08 models.

Once these are gone, that is IT… until the new year, at least. So grab your wallet and a bottle of 2-stroke oil because these babies won’t last for long.

I’m not sure if I would like to purchase something from a company that cannot meet its market demand. If the company was Italian I think it exclusive. Being its not I would say its a production capacity issue.

220 isn’t very many. Hopefully there will be more next year.

There were only 150 PX 150s left when I got mine last October, and when I was at Vespa Seattle a few days ago, they had a PX in each color parked in front of the store.

I understand there’s a rumor going around that the new Stellas will be 200s… anybody know?

Genuine told us there’d be new Stellas even when the Indian business news reported the factory was boarded up. It turned out the factory was in fact boarded up and there were no more Stellas.

Now Genuine says there will be more Stellas….

The issue was always the inability of LML to compete in India. The US market and Genuine Scooter Co. had nothing to do with it.

The new strategy (for LML) is to focus on export, and forget about their native Indian market.

Genuine is a good company, and they will do it right, if this rumour turns out to be true.
