Custom

The Yamaha Beluga or as we call it in the USA, the Riva, is a modest beast… quite flashy during its 80′s heyday, but considered by some to be just flat out ugly today.  It’s not often that you see someone take the time to gussy up their Riva to make it a real eye catcher.  Discovered on eBay back in July of 2008 by a Canadian scooter fan, this flashy glass of lemonade is guaranteed to turn some heads.

Heh Heh…the title links to my thread on Ruckus Central! I didn’t own that yellow scoot pictured but I did buy a red one. It took me about 6 months but I managed to get this scooter purring and then I modified it with a custom pipe, different cylinder and aftermarket carb to do 55mph. That scooter was ugly yet awesome in it’s own little way. I sold it at the end of this summer for $900. I’ve actually started a forum specifically on this scooter which is http://www.CV80riders.org

In the original eBay listing for this yellow scoot, the seller said that he gets ‘admiring looks’ everywhere he goes. I’m not so sure ‘admiring’ is the right word…
