Deep down inside, I have to admit, it was a feeling I shared. Normally I belt around on a monster of a Kawasaki cruiser, with 1500cc’s of brute power that announces its arrival with growling sound before it even comes into sight.

What on earth was I doing, then, climbing on to a 150cc Vespa that sounded more like my first wife’s sewing machine than it did a motor vehicle?

But I soon discovered that, whatever it lacked in machismo, the Vespa made up for in other ways. “
