(It’s never to early to Rally up!)

Isle of Wight Today: “More than 70 children took to their two-wheeled scooters on the school’s tennis courts, which were adapted as a racetrack for the day.
Teachers Debbie Gillam, a Lambretta rider herself, and Vikki Lovell laid out the track and put out obstacles for the children to negotiate.
They completed ten sponsored laps of the course with a pit-stop of squash and cake halfway through.
Each child paid $2UK to take their scooter to school, raising more than $140UK and there will be plenty of sponsorship money to add to the fund.
Headteacher Sally Davies came up with the idea after she was sitting in traffic during this summer’s IW scooter rally.
She said: “The children had so much fun on their scooters and some of them were decorated brilliantly. They had mirrors and little tiger tails, like the Vespa and Lambretta enthusiasts have on theirs… We raised $1,300UK, which was more than last year.”
