It is gorgeous here, today, and I only saw two full-size bikes on my way in this morning. Not much of a showing for ride to work day. That’s less than I usually see.
Oh well. At least I had a nice ride in.
I have a nice 10.25 mi round trip commute on surface roads. Top posted speed is 40mph.
Sachs, the makers of quirky learner bikes like the XTC125 and MadAss, has gone in to insolvency after failing to come up with cash it owed.
The German firm ran in to financial troubles when a distribution deal with one Chinese firm dried up and promised funding from another failed to materialise.
The company was unable to top up its pension scheme and had to call in the receivers.
Once employee’s salaries have been secured the administrators will look at ways to restructure the business and get it on its feet again.
So Tom, less than you USUALLY see? Maybe the riders got it backward and drove in today. Oh well. Austin had a good number of riders on the roads this morning. I don’t know if it was MORE than normal, because I usually don’t leave the house in the morning.

I didn’t dress like that guy, but I did ride to work today – 30 miles on my 1999 Helix. Mostly Interstate between 65-70mph.

I agree Tom. Kind of a dismal showing of riders in the Nashville TN area also. It’s hot here, but not too hot to ride.
