Picked up my copy last week so you may wanna head down to your local scooter shop / bookstore / Walmart and pick up a copy. Nice Big review of the Big Ruckus is in there. I’m surprised it took anyone THIS long to review her, but that’s to be expected on a Honda product (Honda’s Press Relations department doesn’t play well with independent media and most Honda Dealerships don’t have them pre-prepped for the road.)
Lots more good stuff in there so go forth and read!

I’m wating for the monster-ruckus-600 with 16-inch wheels front and back and the SilverWing twin-cylinder engine. Keep the style, the adjustible backrest/passenger-seat, and offer a windhield. I’de buy that.
In the meantime, we can drool over this ‘photo’ of the Nexus-850.

GILERA NEXUS 850 La gamma Nexus dovrebbe ampliarsi con l’intruduzione di un vero maxi: il matore che lo spinge potrebbe essere il corposissimo V90 Piaggio (dotato di gestione electtronica della transmissione). Il design, abbondantemente rivisto ricalcherebbe quello della famiglia degli scooter Gilera.
Tra le novita 2007 piu interessanti marcate Gilera: soto i riflettori un mega scooter spinto dal bicilindrico a V90 850cc Piaggio dotato presumibilmente della trasmissione automatica testata sulla Ferro. Forme tese e abondanti e un look aggressivo come quelli degli scooter di farmiglia le sue particuliarita.

The Japanese big 3 are reluctant to play with any of the small, independent media sources. Scooter World Magazine just got a review of the new Burgman, which was as big a coup for us as the Honda was for Scoot! I think this is a sign that the slumbering giants have a awoken to the demand for scooters.

and Bryce! It’s so true my friend. You know… I need to subscribe to Scooter World. I miss it and I can’t find them in the Austin shops. The Motorcycle Store in San Antonio (A GREAT shop for scooters actually), is always out of them when I get there. I’ll check this weekend.
I’ll take a scan of the cover to post here if you have it handy as well. I love ringing in the new issues!

Don’t go press with that ‘photo’ just yet. Their is an 850 scoot coming but I suspect we’ll see Piaggio’s automatic-motorcycle first.
