(Notice how the “ear ring blinkers” under the handle bars are gone? They were one of Key’s few complaints that were easily removed.)
Keys, a one-time Bajaj rider over at Skutergruven finally traded it in for a black Genuine Buddy (hauling it 100+ miles with the Buddy in the back seat of his convertible Chrysler Sebring if you can imagine THAT!) and after a few minor mods he took it to the road.
The Good? Zippy! Nice fit & finish. Impressive storage for a tiny scoot. Easy to work on.
The bad? After only 25 miles a loose bowl drain screw in the carb fell out and created a major gas dump. Had to rig it until the replacement screw came in a week later.
Since he got it, Key’s has taken his new baby on a 320 mile jaunt around the Arizona outback with nary a problem and plans on riding the Fall Classic this November.
Looks like Genuine has a winner on its hands!
