Coming (to Japan at least) on May 31st is a new and improved Yamaha Majesty (YP250) called the Premium Majesty Sport. BigScooter.com announced the press release on Friday. Here’s what they point out as the main features:
(1) automatic speed change quality can be chosen from 3 patterns, “YCC-AT” (This will explain)
(2) new engine & new frame
(3) dual opening under seat storage space (under both seats)
(4) the body part is connected smoothly, “seamless & low Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers, europe” design
(5) RF key. Just walk up and push “Start”.

You can change the color, see how riders of different heights would sit on the bike and even drag it around to see the scooter from different angles. They’ve also got a sweet video (even if it is CG). I think you’ll appreciate what they’ve done. Oh and Specs are here and environmental specs are over here. Wall papers are here. The Japanese know how to hype a scooter. Production is planned at 10,000 units per year. Hrm… now HOW many of those units will be available in the USA? Care to make a guess?

Pretty nice lookin’. However, I still like the looks of the ’07 Burgman 400 over this. Do you think this look will come to the Majesty 400???

I’ll have to take a closer look at the ’07 Burg. Did they also redesign?
As for this look coming to a Maj 400. I don’t know really and truthfully, I don’t think you’ll see this look in the US, unless they completely discontinue the original Majesty.
We’ll keep you posted if we DO get the scoop on it though.

As a Maj 400 owner there is a lot of lust in my heart right now. The look of this would have me in the showroom in a hurry if it came out in a 400 (or better)!!! The gauges are super… the windshield could be a little higher and it looks like they have defeated putting a top box on the scoot… sad that. But find it for sale and buy one!!

Well cleat and sanjuro62… If we all focus our energies maybe we can WILL Yamaha to bring it to the US.
It would probably work better than sitting around waiting for them to decide to bring it here.
Unfortunately, I believe scooter sales would have to double (if not triple) for the major manufacturers to start taking our market seriously… so get out there and tell your friends to get a scoot!

this is much better designed than the m9 …. I think I rather take this.. Im planning to save up for a dang scooter this year and next anyway… :)
