I’m also fond of the other, vaguely Cylon-ish helmet. Visibility wouldn’t be too good in that one, though. I definitely want a helmet that lights up, whatever the shape.

WOW!
That helmet looks alot like the Cyclone armor helmet from ROBOTECH!!! A motorcyle that transforms into a suit of powered combat armor. The coolest thing I had ever seen in a cartoon as a child.
Not to dork it up too much, but I’ve loved Robotech since I was tiny also, and it is a helmet from the Cyclone armor in Robotech, it’s almost exact. So I wonder who has copyrights?
I dunno, but I’m pretty sure the $65,000 also covers “rights to use”. I guess the real question is, does the original designer get a cut of that money? Probably not… Same way with the poor lady who invented “Hello Kitty”. She’s probably not seeing a penny from that multimillion dollar franchise.

yeah… loves me some Cylon Warriors. That’s the whole reason I used to watch Battlestar Galactica back in the days.
As for light up helmets… how about the eyes in a Jin-Roh helmet. That would look sweet during a night ride. Scare some people.

I’d love a helmet like that. I am also a big daft punk fan. Could I get a set of racing leathers with white leather bones stitched on?
