No details just yet other than the 125 / 200 getting an update. I’m looking for first impressions from Motoblog.it tomorrow. Click on the title link for the Scarabeo site.
In the future, all scooters will become the Kymco People.
I’m not a huge fan of the sportbike snubnose Reflex/Burgman/Majesty look, but I’ll take it any day over the look of the People and this new Scarabeo. It’s got all the geometry of a Vespa with zero style.

It has styling cues from both the Kymco People series and the newest Scarabeo 500. Definitely better-looking than the Sportcity 250.

On a technical note, I like that they moved the radiator high-up rather than low and behind the front wheel.

I am amazed at finding myself saying I like it. One my tastes are definately changing towards something shorter, lighter and quicker.

Those are pretty nice looking scooters. As much as I like the classic Vespa styling I find more and more attraction to these.
Or maybe it is just a good picture sucking me in….

Didn’t the big wheel scarabeo appear in 1993?? When did the people make its debut?

Yes 1993 is the year of its debut. Just for clarity, this post is on the redesign. Seems like the Kymco People was introduced here in 2000(?).
