Just because I figure SOMEONE will appreciate it, I wanted to list a couple of useful tools and one badass movie trailer for something to hit in May 2008. First, let’s talk music.

If you are like me, you love music and are always hunting for something worthwhile to stick in your ears. Here are two tools that may help you discover bands that you might have never heard of… Music-Map and Liveplasma. For the first one, Music-Map, all you need to do is click on “Map” in the upper left hand corner and enter the name of someone you like currently and out pops a crazy flash map of artists who sound similar. Now you have some artists to search for at your favorite music spot to see if you dig their sound. Liveplasma is like Music-Map with the possibility of some different associations being made. I say use both tools to make sure you’ve properly narrowed down your next favorite band.

Finally, if you haven’t eyeballed it yet, you have to watch the IRONMAN trailer. I have a feeling THIS will be one of the best comics turned movie and will hopefully break the “curse of the ‘man’ movie”. There have been some REALLY crappy “MAN” movies like, Lawnmower man, Medicine Man, Superman (Returns), Spiderman (3) and Batman (with Penguin, Dr.Freeze, Riddler, etc). The only ones I can think of that were worth half a flip were Spiderman 1 and 2, Maybe Batman 1 and the new Batman 1, and Rainman. Ironman will totally rock!
