Another Arigato to Aki H. who has been hot on the press release patrol and has dug up another interesting announcement from Vespa. Looks like they are releasing the last 1,000 Vespa PXs next year. This is a 30th anniversary edition celebrating the more than 3 million vehicles sold during their production from 1977 to 2007.
Here’s the facts. They will be 125cc 2-strokes, they will be white, they will include lots of accessories (rear rack, chrome hub caps, white wall tires, windshield, numbered traveling case), they will sell for about $5,665.00 and they will be available in Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK and that’s it. It started in Europe, it ends in Europe.

$5,665.00 for a 125 cc scooter seems too pricey. There are too many more cost-effective options including light 650 cc bikes that make for a better commuter bike.

$5700 for a 125 is lame. They essentially took a model that they couldnt sell and made it “special” by adding a bunch of cheap chrome bits to it. Im glad this isnt going to come to the US, as we already have the “Serie America” 150s that they couldnt sell in Europe…

Yeah, sorta sux, but Anon is right; $5660+ for this baby is waaaay up there. I’ll just wait for the Stella to come back soon.

i’m a scooterist with many years experience guys. general feeling over here is that we’ve been shafted. we gotta pay an extra £700 on top of the regular £2149 for a px with qhitewall tyres, flyscreen and backrack – accessories that cost just under £100. the fact that piaggio produced it in white explains why white px’s have been unavailable for the past 2 years. thank god i drive T5′s. but some fools are gonna but it………,.
