The Piaggio Group’s net motorcycle and scooter sales have both increased for the first nine months of its fiscal year in comparison to the same period a year ago.
The manufacturer reported a 12.2 percent increase in motorcycle net sales ($337 million) and a 3 percent rise in scooter sales ($1.04 billion) in its third-quarter financial report. There was no mention of how its North American market sales have faired in comparison to last year.
Overall, the company sold more than 560,000 vehicles in its first three quarters, a 4 percent increase over the prior year period.
