Looks like the Germans and the Italians are mixing up “two great things that taste great together” with a new line of Vespa related Adidas gear. Stange bedfellows? Maybe not, I know quite a few Adidas wearing Vespa riders.
Some of the products are available now and can be seen by clicking on the title link. No word on a pair of Vespa Campus, Samba or Superstars. If not, we’ll just have to buy a pair of Adidas Scoops in our official colors, Black/Slim/Rave.
Here’s some video of the two together -

I loved that commercial when it first aired, good song too. As far as scooter related commercials the Road to Lisbon is still my favorite

I’m totally unimpressed.
I don’t see anything to lead me to think that Adidas is considering safety when designing “scooter” apparel. No mention of CE armor, and the shoes don’t even cover the ankles.
Personally, I’m not interested in flashy fashions that aren’t also practical for their use. This kind of stuff’s a dime a dozen, especially after a disasterous Chistmas selling season.
Maybe Adidas should go back to the drawing board and try to combine flash and true “scooter style” with protection.

Nice stuff. I’ve always liked Adidas. I love scooters. I’m going to get that song! Art does have a decent point, however. This proves that I’m not crazy, because I’ve been telling people that the vespas were on that commercial yet no one believed me (they almost always edit that part out)! And speaking of commercial. Yeah, the gimmicky apparel is only in existence, because “VESPAS” (not scooters as they are really called) ARE THE “IN THING” with hollywood right now. I wonder if the stuff will carry the hefty price tag that Piaggio always requires?

@Art –
it’s not safety stuff any more than the track suits you see women wearing at Whole Foods are intended for running marathons. Or on tracks.
It’s just a fashion item. You may have missed the point.

I don’t see what Adidas has to do with Vespas. Or all those “funky” Americans, either. Ben Sherman and Fred Perry, yes, because of the Mod connection. And British band Timebox did the best version ever of “Beggin’”!

But do they have wooden clogs to match this?
