Back in 1959 Bo Diddley released THIS darling of an album called “Have Guitar Will Travel”. Not only did he carry the traditional (weird) rectangular guitar, and a HUGE business card, but he also putted the avenues on his custom “Bo Diddley Scoot”. Very surrealistic. The make and model of the scooter is escaping me right now. Ideas?
Thanks to James Hands for the scoop!

Right, Cushman made the Allstate for Sears. You could order it out of the catalog. Harley Davidson had one similar to it called the Topper

Let us read from the book of Cushman otherwise known as “The old testament”… For it was THIS very manufacturer who brought the scooter down to earth from on high. Can I get an AMEN?
Thanks Paster B!

Besides “Road King” & Sears Allstate “JetSweep,” search: “Cushman Pacemaker.” Most Pacemakers were older step-through scooters dating back into the 40s, but I believe the latter-50s body you’ve been discussing was called that, too.
FWIW for a bunch of info, try http://www.hobbytech.com, too. Best regards, all.
