SCARABEO 50/100 FOUR STROKE

The Scarabeo 50/100 is a highly evolved species, perhaps the only scooter with enough good looks and functionality to have created its own original lifestyle.

Both the 50 and the 100 models bear a strong family resemblance to the classic Scarabeo 50 Street, but incorporate even more advanced technology.

The Scarabeo 50/100 offers a choice of carburettor fuelled, 50 and 100 cc four stroke engines that represent the very future of scooter riding.

DESIGN

The design of the Scarabeo 50/100 combines the classic and the modern in just the right proportion. The resulting look is destined never to go out of fashion.

This perfect combination of styles has been imitated by many, but Scarabeo’s unique personality cannot be surpassed. It is hard to improve on a style icon. Nevertheless, Aprilia’s panache for design has given the Scarabeo a brand new, trendy look without spoiling the courageous and original Scarabeo concept that has proved such a success in terms of sales and image.

The Scarabeo 50/100 differs from the Scarabeo 50 Street in a series of small but important details. The front direction indicators are incorporated in the handlebar fairing. The tail light and indicator assemblies are also built into the fairing. The headlight surround is finished in chrome. The leg shield incorporates a stylish chrome finished grille. The front mudguard is larger and more impressive.

CHASSIS

The chassis of the Scarabeo 50/100 sets new standards.

Built around a robust tubular frame, the chassis incorporates suspensions that are more than able to cope with carrying a passenger, plus a powerful braking system with front disc brake.

ENGINES

50/100 FOUR STROKE

The Scarabeo 50/100 gives you the choice of two different, sophisticated four stroke, air cooled, single cylinder engines: 50 cc and 100 cc.

Both engines guarantee low fuel consumption (with the 50 cc achieving up to 42 km per litre) and because they are four strokes, there’s no need for two-stroke oil!

Scarabeo 50/100 Four Stroke brings you are functionality, riding satisfaction, smooth, responsive power and silent running.

The 50/100 engine uses dynamic crankcase cooling. This effective solution forces clean, cold air into the crankcase, keeps operating temperatures down, improves engine performance, and reduces variator wear.

The Scarabeo 50/100 Four Stroke also respects the environment and is fitted with a catalytic converter to comply with the latest emission control standards.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT

The long, luxuriously upholstered seat allows riders to assume a natural riding position even with a passenger seated behind.

A rear luggage rack is fitted as standard and incorporates two convenient handles. These act as passenger grab handles and serve to lift Scarabeo 50/100 on to its stand.

The Scarabeo 50/100 has everything you need for city life, like an automatic choke for easy starting. Its 8 litre petrol tank gives you fantastic autonomy so no more daily refuelling! One tank-full from your local service station will keep you going for days.

The storage compartment in the leg shield is big enough for all those important items you need to keep handy. Instrumentation is clear and complete with attractive, easy-to-read graphics.

The high efficiency, motorcycle style, multi-focal, clear glass headlight incorporates lamps for main and dipped beam.

The Scarabeo 50/100 is also equipped as standard with an anchor pin for Aprilia’s Body Guard armoured cable lock.
