If the Chinese are serious about exporting, concentrating on quality is a good move and will benefit them in the long run. This issue will continue to get more attention as Chinese auto and motorcycle exports increase. Almost any company manufacturing products of any sort, needs to look at the Chinese export machine and think about how they will be dealing with it as the quality of Chinese products begins to improve. I’ve been saying for a bit now that the Chinese will do well, once they cut out the importers that are buying scooters with no more interest in their quality and reliability than the lamps or toasters they import. I believe there will be a very valid Chinese scoot market, after the serious scooter enthusiast import companies survive over those shops that are flooding the storefronts and internet with unsupportable junk. Good on the Chinese for understanding the need for quality exports to build a reputation needed to be successful here. Those of us old enough to remember the Honda invasion of the 60s can relate.

I truly concord with the government; about time to stop exporting low quality scooter & motorcycles and export quality goods. I for one believe the government of the people have made a rational move..
