Tiny Scooter Week: The Honda Dax

Another tiny Honda from the 80′s the Dax ST 70. Not quite a standard step-thru scooter, but with 72cc’s on her, we’ll let it pass. This little guy loves to be modded (as seen in these photos).

Not the cutest scooter in the world, but I wouldn’t kick it out of the garage.

AHAHAH! That’s GREAT! I WANT ONE! I would post the specs, but why don’t you just check out the fan-boy site.

This bike is related to the Honda CY50, the Honda Ape, Honda Gorilla, the Honda Motora and second cousin to the Honda Zoomer (Ruckus in the USA).

What’s up with that extended wheelbase on that first pic? Very weird.

I rode a Honda Trail 70 to work nearly every day when I lived at Eglin AFB FL back from 82-85. It ran 33mph and most of the fide across base was marked at 40mph. So I was a roving chicane everyday for about a buck’s worth of gas a week.

I’ve got a Helix now, but it would be cool to have one of these tiny scoots to toy around with. Sounds like it worked perfectly for Eglin.

I didn’t notice anything weird about it ’till you said something… but, I’ve never seen one in person.
