Now… I know I don’t show a lot of luv for the Moped. It’s not that I hate them… I just don’t know that much about ‘em… So when my super mechanic friend Dan suggested I check out the MadAss I thought something had been lost in translation… The… Mad… ASS? Right? Sounds like something I get when I eat a Wendy’s Classic Triple with Cheese. Doesn’t matter, I checked it out and BOY was I supprised. Check it out! Pretty fly, right? I’d say the meanest moped on the road. Get parts for them here. I’m still trying to find out where to get a MadAss in the USA though. I’ll keep you posted.

Looks like a modern day version from when I was on the first, international, moped endurance racing team in England.

Damm shame the pictures from that weekend have disappeared, the pictures proved I was there.

We had a Honda MB-5 two wheeler and a Yamaha with a side car… But we used the Yamaha motor in both rigs and swapped between races… Those were the days!

Hehe. 500cc… That’d be a hoot… a 500cc dirt bicycle. You should “find” me an image of that. Photoshopped is ok. ;)

That would have been in 88 probably. I came back to the US in 89. Google “UK moped racing” or something similar, its still pretty big over there.

Regarding getting your hands on one in the U.S., try here: http://www.gekgo.com/sachs_madass.html. I’m trying, too, and so far this is the only US distributor I’ve found.

    Hehe. Very tricky Flick.
I can name a few shops off the top of my head that have them in stock. I’ll go ahead and let this spam slide this time… but you owe me a beer.
