As the prices go up, so do the number of people looking for other alternatives on how to get around.
Greg Grandee’s scooter has been his favorite ride for 20 years.
“Back then it was just for fun recreation,” he said.
But with gas prices getting higher by the day, Grandee’s old scooter is proving to be money back in his pocket.
“Now it’s a lot more fun when gas prices are so high,” he said.
Scooter dealers may be the only ones these soaring gas prices are helping. Many of them attribute a recent increase in sales to the climbing prices at the pump.
‘They’re just growing, especially with the spike in the gas prices in the past week,” said Joe Farina of Albany Honda.
That’s one of the main reasons people these days are looking to buy one.”
