Kansas City Star | 09/04/2005 | The skinny on scooters: “Boasting low prices, peppy engines and impressive gas mileage, motorized scooters are finally turning heads in the United States after decades of popularity in Europe, Latin America and Asia. The Motorcycle Industry Council estimates that U.S. sales surpassed 86,000 last year, up more than sevenfold since 1997.”

    Read that article. The shop owner they talked to is in the same club as me, and is a friend. Scooters have really gotten hot in KC and Lawrence.

    Sweet! It is getting like wildfire. Roughly how many members you got? Here in Austin, Piston Broke has any where from 8 to 38 depending on the weather… but, it’s good to see everybody every now and again.
