An ode to Japanese scooter design

Cleat sent me a little link that reminded me why I love Japan. Sometimes, especially in the world of scooters, it’s like they skip the whole conceptung and proto-typing phase and just put things right into production. Take the Yamaha VOX for instance. It’s got what appears to be a felt-lined violin case built right under the seat. Now this is actually a concept, but I have seen stuff outta Japan that has made me think “WTF were they THINKing? And… where can I get one?”.

In celebration of Japanese scooter design, I’ve written a little Haiku. Please allow me to recite.

Good friends in Japan
How we envy your scooters
Please pass the soy sauce

Check out the comments for more Haiku luvin’! Enter your own! The basic rules are easy… 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. What’cha got?
