(It’s no scooter… But it’s almost odd enuf to earn the “WTF!? Scooter of the week” title. ***UPDATE*** It has been decided that this actually IS a scooter. So… It’s last weeks WTF!? Scooter of the week!)

Motorcycle Daily: “Victory unveiled their striking Vision 800 concept bike Friday at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, and we were surprised to see that it is a huge departure from the tradtional, cruiser-style bikes that are the company’s mainstay.

The first thing that you’ll notice is the styling – for good or bad, the Vision looks unlike any bike we have seen before. The organic-looking shapes seem to be something right out of a radical design school student’s portfolio, and indeed they may be.”

>The thing reminds me of a gun. I don’t know why… but it does. Thanks to Cleat for the Scoop!

The riding position certainly is very scooter-like I think. And look at the footrests, They are almost like an abbreviated floorboard.. So I’d say it deserves a WTF!

An 800cc with clutchless automatic CVT transmission and under-tank storage large enough for two full-face helmets.

    I would buy this.

For me — this reminds me of a Soviet era locomotive/train… looking hard at being modern but very utilitarian at the same time… stout. I still like it though (a lot).

I believe it’s supposed to be industrial and mean looking. An 800cc auto-tranny without a fugly look would be a ‘chick’ bike. I like that they made this so only guys would like it… likely the same guys who think the Ruckus is so frog-ugly they love it.

I love the industrial, ugly, punk-ass look of this bike.

I would pay the extra $$$$$ to get a unique bike with an auto-tranny. Zero chance Polaris will make this?

P.S. The motorcycle forums consider this a ‘scooter’; cuz it’s an auto-tranny. So it definately belongs here.

Well then… Casey says it, dudel says it… I’m gonna say it. We scooterists here by lay claim to the Victory Vision as one of our own.

The VV earns the titles of “Most likely to Exceed” (the speedlimit), “WTF!? Scooter of the Year”, and the “Please put this thing into production!” award… but don’t hold your breath on that last one.
