Here’s the scoop. One day this guy named Steve was shopping around for scooter related Christmas presents and it dawned on him. “Where’s all the cool scooter garb?”, he asked himself. Fearing someone might hear him talking to himself again and have him checked back into the “happy house”, he decided to shut-up and start workin’.
“If I was going to buy scooter threads, it better be something I would actually wear”, he thought and set out to design just that… Sweet duds that could be found no where else in the land.
He called on his designer, Sir George Coghill… well, I’m not sure that he’s actually been dubbed “Sir” by the queen, but one day… Anyway, enough with the fairytale talk…
I asked George to recall a style lost in the 70′s… The Odd Rod or Rat Fink style. I wanted to see that style executed with scooters. We began working on some concepts for a 3 shirt series and it begins with “MOD ROD”… the epitome of Modsmanship. Chrome bristling, foxtail flying, modness.
Once you see this design up close, you’ll appreciate the detail he put into this baby. Indeed a rare work of art. You’re not gonna see this in no JC Pennys, that’s for sure. Along with the Mod Rod shirt, I’ve also got a couple of “The Scooter Scoop” logo shirts. You can wear these proudly to your next scooter meetup and your people will KNOW that you get “The Scoop” daily.
So… I hope you like ‘em. If so, there’s more where that came from in the near future. If you have any suggestions, questions or comments, send them my way. As for the jacket patches. I’ll have those to show in about a week.
In about TWO weeks… I’ll have something else to show. No details just yet though. Stay tuned!

Thanks “anonymous” and thanks “Jessica”! I’m glad you both liked them, and yes I couldn’t leave out the ladies. The wife was the one who persuaded me to do toddler versions.
I can’t wait ’till my shirts come in. I placed an order yesterday and I’ll report back on the print & shirt quality when they get here.

I picked up two shirts today. Early birthday present. Added in a bumper sticker and saved $5! Didn’t know if you saw, but cafepress has a deal going on right now. Two dollars off of $20 and five dollars off of $40. It ends today though.
I really enjoy the site. I’ve got you bookmarked in my Blackberry so I can catch up on the road. Keep on giving us the scoop!

w00t!
A couple of people had e-mailed me asking about the quality of the shirts from Cafepress. Really, I don’t know how the quality ranks, but I ordered 4 items. I’ll come back with a honest report on the quality as soon as my stuff arrives (sometime next week). If it stinks, I’ll let everyone know and start looking elsewhere for printing options. If it’s good, I’ll let you know that too.
I’m staying away from getting them screen printed just because I can’t afford to have a garage full of shirts right now.
Lastly… I know Cafepress offers a guarantee on their products, so I suppose if you didn’t like it you could always send it back.
