Kymco flexing design muscle in 2006!

I know, I know… This looks like a motorcycle design, not scooter design, but really it’s a sport scooter that has given up its step-thru space for storage… and not some half-helmet and pair of gloves storage, we’re talking TWO FULL FACE Helmets and even room in the back for a brief case or a couple pizzas. ALL of this is coming straight from super designer Oberdan Bezzi. You remember him from the sweet 850cc BMW scooter design sketch that had been circulating previously.

I don’t have a BUNCH of details, but Bezzi says it (“The Bikester”) is being designed as a 750cc, two cylinder bike unlike ANYTHING previously seen from Kymco. I would love to see them go through with it.

Let your eyes bathe in it’s design splendor (Caution! Not for the scooter purist):

Let’s hear your feedback. What do you think about this design coming from Kymco?

That would make a great touring or commuting bike. Looks sporty, fun, and like it should handle well. If they make it, and it’s fun to ride, I’d consider it.

Please send mine as soon as it’s available. Even a 500cc with that design works… storage is a huge issue the more I use my scoots. Which one I take fits the question of how much space will I need for that trip. In this case it looks good too.

    Its sharp…for a motorcycle in a
kinda of Honda/Yamaha way. Now if
Kymco could build me a all metal
shifter type scooter 250 to 500 cc.

Let’s hope that these motorcycle/scooter hybrids are actually produced soon. I was in love with the Honda DN-01 concept, and these are just more of the same eye candy.

Hey, who am I to complain….? I love all 2 wheeled stuff. I’m just tic’d off they didn’t do it when I was younger. Wouldn’t buy it now tho. Too flashy fer me and I’m more into maxie scoots.

It’s similar to a Gilera DNA.. except with a much large engine.. and ability to store 2 helmets
instead of 1 in the DNA..
