I don’t think this ever made it to market, especially since the C1 had such a short lifespan (2 years). I like this Sahara Edition, but I know some of you are shaking your head saying “Now THAT is just too damn nerdy!”
Thanks for posting this find in your flickr account omega oldtimer!

This looks fun (they should slap a headlight and blinkers on it so I can ride it on the street):

“[The FX Adventure] may well revolutionize not only dirt bikes but also BMX and mountain bikes. The Team FX could easily become the most fun toy you could get your hands on.”

Wow! A little expensive for my tastes, but 99 lbs!?! 124cc?!? That’s nice! I like that idea. I was thinking about a similar design just the other day… except for a moped. I wanted to make a 120cc moped that had the pedal handling of a standard issue mountain bike. I could ride it until muscle failure then ride home.

Erm… the C1 also came in a 180 cc flavour (it was called the C1-200).

To the last Anonymous poster… You’re in the UK, right? Do you see the C1 on the roads much? How about used ones for sale? Do people sell them over there, or are they just holding on to them?

Steve, I was just in Paris and saw way more C1s than i would have ever guessed, only a couple actually on the road, but 20 or more parked around town over the course of a few days. In Dublin a few years ago when they were in production, i only saw 2-3 over a few days.

Yeah. I talked to someone in the USA about what it would take to get one brought over and they said abour $18k! I love the C1 and all, but I could get a half dozen classic vespas for that much!
If something magical happens, I’ll get one, but ’till then I’ll just have to take a trip to Europe and beg people for a test ride.
