Patricia and Dave Fogg pay about $3 — period — to fill up their gasoline tank.

The moped the Wrentham residents bought last summer after gasoline prices passed $3 a gallon is paying dividends again.
As motorists spend upwards of $30 at the pumps, the Foggs are running their errands on the cost of a magazine.

The Honda Metropolitan II Scooter gets 100 miles to its 1gallon tank.

“My husband says that when he goes to fill it up, everybody stops and says, `Wow!” said Patricia Fogg, who plans to buy another moped soon.

The Foggs are just one local couple who have adjusted the way they get around in the face of skyrocketing gasoline prices.

Prices per gallon averaged $2.855 Friday, up 3 cents from a day earler, Unleaded regular gasoline prices averaged $2.87 a gallon nationally on Thursday, AAA reported. Prices are expected to hit $3 a gallon in the near future.”
