(Because your Metro could use all the help it can get ; )
(Sweet! Finally a new pipe for the Vino 125.)
Speaking of Vino’s (from our last post), check out these new pipes from MRP (Martin Racing Performance) for the Yamaha Vino 125 and the Honda Metropolitan 50.
The Metro pipe runs about $250 (MSRP) and will give your Met a well needed 5MPH kick in the pants. The Vino pipe comes in at just under $300 (MSRP) and will “kick it up a notch” to a (BAM!) +8 MPH top speed.
Now, MRP also makes some top end kits if you really wanna light a fire under your seat. It’s great (and surprising) to see a company in the USA working to create performance kits for scooters. Normally you’d have to hunt down Italian parts then pay the massive “US Dollar getting its arse kicked by the Euro” price. I’ll be keeping tabs on Martin Racing to see what they have in store for us in the near future.
The dealers can be found here OR ask your local dealer to order the MRP parts for you.

I wonder if that Metro pipe would fit a Ruckus? Looks like it would. That would almost make a Ruckus safe on the road. Hmmmmm….

Good question Anon. I’ll check into that.
And to Dudel… Thanks for the post. I saw that concept and asked Oberdan a couple questions about it. I’ll let you know what he has to say.

I can’t find any more info about the Vino 125 pipe. Any one know of a part number? Any more info? Anything? Gotta get one!

Hey Anon! I did some research on that Vino 125 pipe.
Here’s my conversation with with Raul at MiamiMoto.com:
Hey Raul,
Do you sell the Metropolitan and Vino 125 pipes that I mention in the article I posted?
He responded:
Hello Steve,
In a few weeks we will have the pipes in stock. I’ll email you as soon as they are in. Days before they get in we’ll make them available for pre-orders.
Thanks again,
Raul
So there you have it! You might try shooting Raul an e-mail and asking him about the preorder!
