Now they actually use Piaggio BV200‘s , but I hear they have issues with overheating in the Summer.

Yep. In heavy bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go traffic after about 30 to 45 minutes on a hot day, mine used to like to stall. That happened more regularly during the break-in period. After a minor adjustment to the screw that controls engine cycles, it seemed to disappear. But I don’t ride mine under these conditions much. This bike is great on the open roads and highways, though. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything.

Hrm. I wonder if the NYPD knows about that screw adjustment. Sounds like an excuse for a road trip!
