This article is SO UnFAIR! They just don’t understand me. NOBODY understands me. It’s soooo SAD! (sorry for the bad Emo imitation).

EMO cult warning for parents | the Daily Mail: “The internet has many sites dedicated to Emo fashion (dyed black hair brushed over your face, layering, black, black, black), Emo bands (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), Emo conversation (sighing, wailing, poetry).

The Instant Emo Kit site gives advice on identity. Wear a child’s T-shirt with a slogan such as ‘Unhappy Chick’ and drive a Vespa. Above all, ‘show your inner despair by looking like you are too sad to eat. Obesity and emocity do not mix.’”

Dude – that article made me smile and frown and laugh…my “Rad Skate Dude” buddy (my 15yo Son) – Love him love him love him – ;) has “rad skate dude and dudette” friends that are all about that EMO “thing”.

Hey. Come on now….it was tie dye, fringe vests, long hair, acid, and mary jane (back in the day when many of us were in that sorta spindle)…

At least this “style” isn’t some sort of lame 60s or 70s re-run…ick.
