SYM is raising some eyebrows with the GTS 250

Reviews, Scooter Reviews

Sym is creating quite a stir with their large displacement scooter. The Sym GTS 250 (also see Voyager / JoyMax / Bolwell Firenze) reviews have started to pour in and I must say I’m intrigued.

CyberScooter put it through its paces just the other day and basically said “Great Scoot!”, though they wanted to take it to the Dyno to be sure.

Brucer from Melbourne, AU gave her a stunning review on Reviewcentre.

The GTS 250 is, as you would imagine, a liquid cooled 250cc 4-stroke scooter with 13″ wheels, rear disc, adjustable rear suspension, anti-theft device, CVT (automatic), and assorted cool design factors all at a reasonable price. What that price is here in the USA, I’m not sure… but I’ll let you know as soon as I find out.

I’d like to give her a spin and see how she holds up to my impressions of the Honda Helix. I’ll make some calls tomorrow to see if we can hunt one down for ya.

And how exactly does this affect those of us in the USA?

A more interesting article might be on SYM’s plans to come or not to come to the US market.

As for the GTS 250? Carter Brothers is looking to have them here for Q1 2007.

    Interesting yet? ;)

We’ll keep you posted on the landing date.

Also to come from SYM; the LX ( which stands for luxury ) and hopefully something not us ugly as those turn signals. The rest of the bike has a hung jury on style

Will do! I’m sure I’ll see one in February at the dealer show.
