Well, I guess I’ve figured out what makes an Icon. An image that never goes away… like The Dukes of Hazzard’s General Lee. You can find that paint job on just about any type of vehicle including this Vespa T5 in the UK.

YEEEEEHAAAAA!

(Thanks for sharing pondocus!)

And if THAT didn’t do it for ya, there’s always the General Flea, probably ALSO in the UK. Can you image Bo and Luke jumping a ravine in this baby? The “Yeeehaaa” would probably be replaced with a “YeeeeeOUCH!” as they spill their hot lattes on their “good ole boys”. (thanks to yomamali for sharing!)

You know… as of today I’m gonna call the Smart an “honorary scooter”. Sure, it’s a 4-wheeled cage, but I don’t have the time right now to start The Smart Scoop, so you may see some Smart news around these parts in the future.

But do the horns play Dixie? That’s the deal sealer.

I have heard that the popularity of “Dukes of Hazzard” led to a large portion of the country’s available 1970 Dodge Chargers being painted orange and quickly totaled. Classic scooters break enough as it is without a fad of Good Ol’ Boy Gymkhana!

Hehe… I dunno Bryce, but I agree. Now… where to stick the 4 or 5 horn configuration… Maybe under the spare tire cowel!

and Gen… come on now… don’t you think a GOB Gymkhana would be hella fun? You’d have the “Ravine Jump”, the “Power slide” where you measure how much dust was kicked up… and a “Yeeeehaaa” yelling competition.

I might have to reinforce my shocks.
