It had been a while since I visited my steampunk friends over at the Honky-Tonk Dragon blog. But today after I perused the Indigenous Filipino scooter rally , the Flash Gordon scooter, and the SteamPed, I found this mind boggling photo of the Gilera Fuoco on what appears to be a moon terrain test track. Every time I look at this picture, I shake my head in disbelief. You can click on the title link to read Punkelf’s droolings or you can go to his source (Modern Vespa Forum) and check in on the buzz it’s creating.
So, Punkelf… When are you going to break out the brass and wood and finally build your steampunk scooter? Times-a-waistin’! Oh, and thanks to Arturo in Corpus for snapping me out of my daze and pointing me back toward the Dragon.

I want an Aprilia version of the Piaggio/Gilera 3-wheeler… with the 850/CVT engine used in the Mana. That would be my dream bike.
