What you are looking at is a COMPLETELY tricked out Honda Ruckus (Zoomer in Japan). I couldn’t even guess what the customs cost, but I but at least 2 to 3 times the cost of the scooter (if it were purchased new).
Sanjuro62, from Houston, is a BIG fan of the Ruckus and has managed to make some trips out there to score some custom parts of his own, including a drive train from a Grand Axis that should take his HP from around 4 HP up to 9 HP, allowing him to run an easy 70 MPH ($3,000 mod).
If you want to see more glorious Ruckus customs (phat tires, chrome rims, water cooled heads, custom paint, lights, upholstery, carbs, etc) then click on the image to check out Sanjuro62′s flickr shots, OR you can read people’s responses to these photos on the TotalRuckus forum.
***UPDATE***
If YOU have a Ruckus you wanna add that custom touch to her, check out these great resources!
BattleScooter – USA’s Source for Japanese custom parts
BOWLS – Cali’s eclectic scooter parts
SouthTEK – Australian in Japan, shipping stuff to America. Details here.
Thanks again Sanjuro!

Wholly Smokes! Here’s an example of a Silverwing power train in a little Ruckus as mentioned by Bryce and Sanjuro. It is flat-out SICK!
(only 5 seconds long *boohoo*)

That is the hottest scooter I’ve ever seen!

So I’ve owned almost a dozen scooters from old & new Vespas to Genuines plus Harleys & dirt bikes from back in the day… I can honestly say that my 2006 Honda Ruckus is the most fun I’ve ever had on two wheels- these scoots are built to be a blast to ride. Thanks for the great post!

I’ve got a couple local friends with Ruckuses. One put a Silverwing engine into his. The other is planning on putting a 125 or 150cc air cooled 4T engine into his.
The Silverwing guy may have more than 3 grand in his swap, but the other fellow won’t.

Thanks again Sanjuro62!
It is very hot… and to see what some people do with them, it’s VERY inspirational!
Glad you liked it Ashley… When ever I see comments like this, it makes me want one.
How about you Bryce? Is there a Ruckus in your future? I’d like to see how that SW mod comes out or even the 125/150cc mod. Do you think they’d send photos?
Cheers!

The guys from Tokyo Parts were awesome hosts and Tokyo is by far the coolest city in the world :) ! Those dudes have done some amazing things with their rides and I only wish I could get my teleporter completed so that we could have a big US/Nippon Ruckus/Zoomer meet.
On the Ruckus, I’m a bit biased, but I think it’s the most innovative scooter we’ve been blessed with and has brought a whole new set of fanatic US scooter riders who simply weren’t feeling what was available before it landed on our shores. The perfect scooter for us Japanophile who are hooked on gadgets, grew up on anime and manga and dabble in the occasional tentacle filled Hentai >:) … Hopefully the respectable manufacturers (yeah china I’m dissing you, and thanks for the latest batch of GHB coated toys) will stop looking at us as brain dead SUV drivers and start selling some of the other great modern scooters that are available everywhere else but here. And since I’m on a roll, may whoever ganked Hollywood’s ped rot in the lower ninth level of hell!

can this be done to a metro????

You could probably plug a silverwing engine into a metro with significant modifications. You should give it a try.
