There’s a video over HERE that you might want to take a look at. In it the guy shows you how he got his car from 17mpg to 34mpg in just a few easy steps. I think I’m gonna try it on the wifey’s CRV. The real cool thing is that he’s NOT trying to sell you a nutty gadget… unless he works for an acetone company. Thanks Maniac World video guy!
***Update 4/4/08***
Looks like this post should have made the April 1st deadline. All excitement about said “fuel economy” is quickly squelched by Mythbusters and an ASE Master Tech. Thanks for the feedback. Though… If it were 100% untrue, then lots of time must have been wasted attempting to prove the contrary. That still doesn’t stop it from being banned by the government as a fuel additive in Vietnam.

I can’t believe you would post junk like this.

What? What are you talking about Dougal? Exactly how is this junk?

Putting nail polish in your gas tank? If adding 2 ounces of nail polish to 10 gallons of gasoline netted enormous gains in fuel economy, it would be in gasoline already. And the first company to do it would have a hell of a marketing edge.
Even if it helps, it’s probably not good for the car. Even running high percentages of ethanol destroys fuel injectors and can foul catalytic convertors.
Maybe we should try it.
P.S.- I’m an ASE certified master auto technician.

Mythbusters busted the acetone myth as well.

Well, it wasn’t junk after all. The feedback we got on the article might save someone’s fuel injectors or save someone lots of money in acetone.
Speaking of which, thanks Dougal and Tim for the feedback. I’ll hunt down the mythbusters episode and finish off the article with it.
Cheers!

This blog is related to Scooter Tricks that one must be perfect to do this. Otherwise don’t take the risk. All of these scooter tricks take a fair amount of practice to perfect. If you are a sure-footed daredevil, you can probably get these scooter tricks figured out and go on to invent some of your own that will surely thrill or scare your friends to near death.

It works on my Hyundai sonata 2004. Driving 100 miles more on one tank of gas…It should work for scooters too…
