Poll – Do you think Daelim should throw us a B-Bone?

French site Motor-Infos.com brings this video of Daelim’s (from Korea) B-Bone in action. Even if you don’t understand French, you’ll get the idea.

It’s been almost exactly 1 year since we mentioned this baby… So, now I present the question.

***UPDATE 5/29/08 2pm***
Hrm… Only 34 votes?! Out of 2,000 visitors since the poll was posted?! Where’s the love people? Are you indifferent? That’s bad news for scooter distributors looking into bringing a new product to market. Strive to be loved by many or hated by many, because nothing is more painful than being ignored by many.

Is that the same 125cc model you mentioned last year? If so, they’re being awfully ambitious fitting it with a 160 km/h (100 mph) speedometer.

While personally I’d like to give this scooter a chance, that type of styling seems to have limited appeal in the U.S. The Ruckus has a limited niche, but Honda apparently wasn’t satisfied with the way the Big Ruckus was selling to pull it from this market after only two seasons.

Pricing for this scoot would be the major determinant for success in the US. I might add it to my stable if the price were right.

On the other hand, I would rather see Honda and Yamaha give us the rest of their scooter models which are available elsewhere in the world.

What? A Rattler and a Ruckus had a child? It’s a Ratkus, no it’s a Rucler… with a touch of chrome. Kinda cool, but it is definitely niche. You won’t find the retro crowd on it that’s for sure.

Rattler and a Ruckus… that sounds about right. I first thought of a C3 and a Ruckus but I like the name Ratkus best!

Neat ride, it would do well if it were priced competitively. Also it would be helpful if the distribution network was bigger than what Daelim currently has.

Vote #35 here (because I’m all about showing-the-love-upon-demand). The Ruckus being such a popular scoot here in the U.S., with seemingly its own distinct culture, would naturally inspire a fair share of knock-offs to capitolize on that market (such as with this bike, as well as the TNG Baja 150). I think the biggest complaint I’ve heard from would-be Ruckus riders (like my own GF) is that the bikes are too slow… so naturally, there will be great appeal with these larger-bore Ruckus-clones. Can’t speak for all towns but around here they would be flying off the showroom floors.
