I can’t figure out how he didn’t see the huge pole, unless he just wasn’t watching where he was going which is rule number two on scooters. Rule number one is wear your helmet you dummy.

    Ugh! It's like he was caught in a tractor beam. He couldn't have hit that poll THAT dead-center if he tried.

    I wonder what he cracked/broke besides the scooter.

    My theory is that he could ONLY see the pole and was transfixed on it as he approached, instead of looking where he wanted to go.

    Watch the video again carefully. That pole is actually across the street. You can see the white car pass in front of it at the beginning of the video. What the rider actually hits is one of those railings that are lined up around the curbing. That's why the rider doesn't get his brains bashed in.
