Do you know Dennis Kirk? They’re a well known parts & accessories catalog that’s been around since I was still in diapers. I’ve been getting their motorcycle catalog for about 4 years now and it’s JAM PACKED with stuff… Motorcycle stuff. Well, how about this: Did you know that a couple of years ago Dennis Kirk set up a scooter specific store too? That’s right, Dennis Kirk’s no dummy. Back in 2008, during this century’s first scooter spike, they saw that there was room in the market next to already established scooter catalogs like MRP & TSS sponsor Scooterworks USA, so they went for it. I didn’t find this out until about two months ago, but it’s good to see DK Scooters reaching out to the scooter folk and asking them to help spread the word.
Speaking of “spreading the word”, why don’t you give them a word or two of advice by filling in their survey over HERE>. DK is known throughout the industry as a killer of mom and pop shops. Their foray into scooter accessories is bad news for folks who enjoy having local shops to visit.
