Here’s a glorious black MadAss 50. In Europe it gets high marks from owners and has spawned at least one online forum. Looks like a hoot to ride. You should head down to your local Sachs dealer and pick one up… Oh! What’s that? You live in the USA like me? Oh I’m sorry, your SOL… we don’t get the cool 2-wheeled oddities and accessories here. My bad.

The next time I mention the MadAss here it will be because they are coming to the USA or because I bought a chinese knock-off.

Steve I know a guy who can tell you how to import stuff from other countries, but he’s a real asshole. AND he pretty much will tell you that even if you do get it here in a crate, customs may still confiscate it. Bastages!

Too bad cuz I love the Madass too.

I just noticed something. Sachs makes Malaguti Scooters. I KNOW those are in the US. Maybe you can talk to a Malaguti dealer and see about getting one in? Or at least a timeline.

Sherlock Holms in the HOUSE! I’m gonna check into that. Of course we’ll keep ya posted.

Thanks also for the tip about the importer guy… but I like to keep my contact with assholes down to an absolute minimum.

Seems like I’ve heard of people making international trips (vacations) and bringing stuff like this back. I suppose anything could be confiscated though.

Thanks for your continuing devotion to the MadAss cause. The Malaguti angle seems at least the next logical step. But what of the Chinese knock off? Is there such a thing out there? I look forward to your efforts. The ped market’s just too boring for what can be had Stateside other then the Tomos Arrow which is a poor substitute at best. Any chance that Sachs imports the MadAss into Canada?

Unlikely we’ll see these in the NAFTA zone (CAN, USA, MEX). I’ll do some digging (again) this week to see the likely hood of these ever reaching our shores.

I found the Madass online from Scooter City Inc. on Long Island. I bought my 50cc scooter from them and they gave me some great service with a good price and they ship anywhere in the United States.
