Found this John Branch Cartoon in the San Antonio paper that kinda summed up my not-so-hidden agenda. Did I mention how it chafes my hiney to see a single passenger Hum-Vee and I see ‘em too! Hey lady driving to the mall in a personnel carrier… You know who you are! It’s time to recycle!

just to be precise…you’re more than likely seeing them driving Hummers…not Humvees… Hummers are NOT armored personnel carriers. They’re the badge engineered GM products that are sold themselves on the aura of a Humvee.
Which is convoluted to death with pros, cons, and irony once you start thinking about it….
(shrug)
The Hummers catch the brunt for the symbolism, but we should be just as pissed about Escalades, Tahoes, Suburbans..pretty much all the same vehicle.
