CPI trading in Oliver for Aragon?

With rather sporty styling and unfortunate naming (which is a Kingdom in Spain and shouldn’t be confused with AraGORN the Man of Gondor because two geeky things don’t make a cool thing), CPI unleashed a new prototype on the crowd at the 2006 Powersports Dealer Exposition Indiana, which just wrapped up last week. I can only speculate that this is a 50cc 2-stroke. Cool that it comes WITH a tuned pipe… at least in the picture it does.

We’re seeing some pretty cool stuff coming from CPI lately… Now if I could just get Benjamin to return my calls, I could give YOU the scoop. Don’t make me come up to Irving, Ben! You’re only 200 miles away and my Helix will make short work of that.

Get some more shots from the show here. That’s at WebBikeWorld.

(Thanks for the heads-up Jim! I’d like to hear what other scooter things were at the expo. I’ll have to make sure I’m not traveling for my day job for next years show.)

I saw one at the Indy expo. Sharp looking, but I was told the one there was just a prototype.

I would agree that there are strong similarities in the overall bodywork, but the lighting is definitely different. The Aragon has a “stacked” headlight cluster & led stem-mounted turn signals in the rear & led flush-mounted signals upfront. The bike at the show was a prototype so we’ll have to wait and see what the final production model looks like. I can’t recall if the show bike ran a performance exhaust or not.
