Supercublogger in Tokyo has gotten the scoop on the brand new 50th Anniversary Edition of the Super Cub and Little Cub. From this photo you can see she’s got a black-n-gold badge. For the most part it seems Supercublogger likes this new Cub and is probably snickering at those of us who will likely NEVER see one in person. For more photos, click HERE to visit the Supercublog site.

On another note, we have seen a 50th Anniversary Edition of the Frisbee and might even see a 50th Anniversary Edition of the Hula Hoop! So take THAT Japan.

Actually, I’m not crazy about the ’08 model Cubs really at all. I’m pretty disappointed in the lowering of power/torque and L/km.

I do like the color offerings and the unique gold emblems for the anniversary edition, but overall, no, I’d much rather take a pre ’08 model hands down.

When Honda first released the ’08, I smelled a sell-out, in a bad way, that is, and gave a rather scathing review of the changes in a post titled, Honda Feels the Green.

But thanks for the mention, anyway.
    Take care,
    Robbie

Hey Tim! You WILL be able to buy one of these… as soon as you move to Japan. Sorry.

Beeb! I’m diggin’ the mod hoop

and as for your hoopin’ skill, my man… You’ve got form! The best part about hoops is the fuel efficiency and how friendly they are for the environment. *note to self: invent 2-stroke hula hoop*

Robbie! Thanks for paying us a visit! That’s really to bad about the neutered cub. I wonder if you could put an electric motor in the hub of one of the tires and get her back up to speed. It would be especially cool if it could kill the motor at stops and use electric for take-off until the gas engine needed to kick back in. Ahhh, maybe some day.
